Collaboration with Piece Brewery & Pizzeria
You've eaten his beers, you know the liquid, his name is Jonathan Cutler. Cutler and team brew the beers at Piece and every now again we square off and brew beer together. Being co-friends of the pale ale, we set pen to paper and jotted down the nits and bits to unravel an extra pale ale. Here comes Frank. Frank is low in ABV and built for servitude. Hop varietals Fuggle and Nelson duel like greco roman warriors on a mat of malted grains in an underground battle for your admiration. We are pouring this fly weight in our tap room and shop until you decimate it.

1st review on beeradvocate. This was my first stop in late May 2014 on my Midwest tour for the Marquette reunion. Get off airplane, stop here, get beer.
Nice light but not insubstantial appearance, a little bit of copper to it beyond the usual gold color, 1/2" white head. Aroma kicks you with the Nelson hop. So good. Nice dankness and grass.
Taste hits with old and new world. The fuggles give it a brisk crispness and grassiness, while the Nelson gets you all dankified evoking thoughts of a different kind of grass. What I really appreciated about this was the very unique hop combo. Haven't ever seen it, but it isn't just unique, its actually good. Nice pale toasted barley for the body that is light and sessiony. I would buy the shit out of something like this around the $10/4/6 pack price range if given the chance.
Light, flavorful, crushable. This is what beer should be most of the time.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
