Had this on 2015-06-10 and 2015-10-31 in Lancaster, PA at The Fridge on tap
A - Cloudy dark orange with a 1-finger off-white head and good lace.
S - Pineapple, grapefruit, orange. Very light dank and good hop floral. Not super strong but very, very inviting.
T - A blend of freshly-squeezed grapefruit and papaya juice. Biscuit. Grassy-herbal spice. Touch of white pepper and a goodly-amount of pine. Finishes with increasing bitterness over sour dough bread covered in grapefruit marmalade.
M - Medium body and carbonation. Moderately resinous and prickly. Dries nicely. Fuller-bodied than many Pale Ales.
O - This blend of Hop Hands and Daisy Cutter really works well. It's so darn tasty and even energizing. It reminds me of having a morning, wake-up glass of juice. It really gets the taste buds going and wanting more. Pretty impressive.
Notes: I didn't expect to be able to have this again but here it is on 2015-10-31. It's got everything I like about Hop Hands and Daisy Cutter and IMHO is better than either of the individual beers although I'm a big fan of both of them. I hope these two companies keep this collaboration going year-after-year.

22oz bottle from IAmJacksHopTongue (thanks!). No identifiable bottling date. Served in my Phish snifter.
Hazy, muted yellow with a finger and a half white head. Several streams of bubbles rise from the bottom along the sides to meet the cap of froth. The big l, fluffy retention leaves some large swaths of lacing.
Smells bready with hoppy notes of lemon and melon. Pretty nice.
Tastes of dull citrus, vague melon, slight orange peel bitterness and some bready malt. This has some nice flavor but seems to lack vibrancy.
Body is on the lighter side of medium with moderately light carbonation. Mildly bitter aftertaste with notes of orange pulp and citrus rind.
American Youth is a pretty good pale ale. I can't be sure that this bottle was fresh (it's pretty hard to be sure when a brewer does not see fit to clearly label) but an older bottle would explain the dull character that held this back. As-is I'm fine having tried this only once.
