Had on tap. Aromas are floral and tropical, with dank hops. Best part of the beer by far. The taste does not measure up to what the smell promises. Not nuanced, just bright hops and a hint of guava or other tropical fruits.

16oz draft poured into a pint glass shows an almost crystal clear gold body and briefly floats a 1/2in fluffy white head leaving artistic and spidery lacing from top to bottom.
Aromas include guava, papaya, pineapple, and grapefruit rind. Refreshingly floral.
Flavors diverge. Very little fruitiness, more of a peppery bite with slight caramel malt sweetness and a pine resin just past the tongue. Quite a difference from aroma, odd. No booze for 8%, well hidden.
Mouthfeel is medium and leans heavy, probably the alcohol influence there. The finish is a little sticky, which just begs for more.
Overall it is okay. Some interesting combinations of feel and smell and flavor, but not my favorite. I can only really have one.

A typical HA beer. Obviously hop forward with big aromas of peach, apricot, mango, and a piney bitterness. Mouth is tangerine and peach with the piney bitterness following up. Feel is quite smooth and the 8% is undetectable. Overall this is what you'd expect from Half Acre. A solid IPA that's nothing to write home about but happy you tried.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pint can on March 9, 2018. An IPA inspired by volcanic episodes around the world. Amarillo and experimental hops in the kettle and cellar yield blazing flares of fresh lemon bar, honey, and guava.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. Moderate to low carbonation. More of an orangish, yellow color. Some tangerine or citrus notes up front. Pine notes on the back. Slightly thicker than usual mouthfeel, almost like you tried some marmalade. Finishes not with a bite but more of a nip. It checks in at 8% ABV but this beer was not very boozey. That could be a dangerous combination. Will happily drink this again.

Ominous gold tone - looks almost Belgian in its clarity and hue. Very sticky lacing. Very spicy and almost tanin like dryness. Hoppy, floral is the only normal flavor, it is almost raw woody. Interesting, but maybe not for me. Kind of crazy South Africa hops - never had before.

There's some typical Half-Acre taste to this. The thing that sticks out is a bit more bitterness than I expect out of an IPA. Don't like Equinox.

A pint can dated 12/13/16 from a four pack purchased today at the brewery. Pouring this in my newly purchased Big Hugs glass for the review.
Look- Pours a transparent gold with a finger of soapy white foam that quickly settles leaving behind a small amount of lacing.
Smell- A spicy/floral mix along with grapefruit and malt.
Taste- Spicy/floral hops up front followed by a bit of mint and malt.
Feel- Very resiny and syrupy for the style with a bitter dry finish.
Overall- This reminds me a lot of Navaja. I like it, but I'm more of a fan of the juicy hop profile as opposed to the spice that I taste in this. I'm satisfied with my four pack purchase, but happier with my keg purchase of Gone Away.

Pale golden orange, lasting sudsy foam on the surface and clinging to the glass.
Good clarity with a light haze and visible carb trails rising.
Pungent tropical hop aroma, papaya lends a funky earthy fruity character, with some honeydew melon as well. Hop forward taste, with more tropical papaya and some honeydew melon notes. Moderately dry and bitter in the lingering resiny aftertaste, with a fruity intensity hitting first. Light to medium bodied, ample carbonation, nicely dry overall.
A nice dry IPA with some tropical fruit and resiny bitterness.
