This was ultimately disappointing for me. I had high hopes since Half Acre is great and Nelson Sauvin is my favorite hop but this ended up being a pretty average and forgettable IPA. Not a good expression of Nelson, I would never had guessed it was there if I didn't know. nb

12/5/17: 16 ounce can, canned 11/30/17, purchased at Half Acre Brewery to go ($18 / four pack + tax), poured at home into standard pint glass. Thin yellow pour, mild carbonation, wafer thin white head. Strong hops aroma, very nice. Good solid texture, hops and lemon strong taste, nice balance. Solid mouth feel, good smooth drinking and overall a very good IPA.

Pours a rocky white head with a body that's golden peach. Good looking IPA. Aroma has notes of bready sweet malts, juicy hops, mango and fresh melon. A very fresh and light smelling beer. Getting strawberry, pineapple, banana, melon, creamy orange, and slight bitter finish with the taste, Body is smooth and not too much carb. Overall this is a good beer and very easy drinking.

A: Bright, translucent, and transparent yellow/gold color. Well carbed pour into over sized wine glass with a two finger head and nice lacing that sticks to the sides until finish.
S: Potent Pine. Citrus. Mango. Orange. Lemon. Great nose.
T: Piney pine, mango, orange sorbet, citrus.
MF: Well balanced, oily but not too thick, and a smooth as finish. So crisp it leaves you wanting more.
O: very refreshing after last night’s fluke. Fresh ass IPA. Glad I was able to scoop this.

This is a really interesting Nelson-something else hop mix from Half Acre. It's clean, bright, and really interesting. Nothing much to look at but almost glowing in its transparency. Glad I bought a 4pk, too, to mule back to Colorado. Well done. Clean, just don't expect much of the 'dirty earth/bitter' that most HA IPAs carry on the palate. This one is a clean expression of south Pacific waters. Update: after a month in a can, this is a mouth full of silk. Wonderful stuff.
