With this installation we really wrenched all the stink out of the hedges. Amarillo, Azacca and a lab coat Experimental Strain all run their fingers through your hair. This, and PURPLE cans. Wake grandma up, it’s time to eat..…...

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can. Canned 04/23/18. Features a backbone of 2017 crop year Amarillo with layered in Centennial and Citra both on the hot side and dry hop, then dry hopped again post crash with Citra pellets and Citra lupulin powder. The cold Citra dry hop brings huge cantaloupe and honey dew melon aromas to the forefront, mingling with the unique dank fruit character of Amarillo.

16oz can, date stamped "WHAT'S IN THE BAG, BUDDY 04/23/18". Golden colored ale with a tall frothy off-white head. Quite muted aroma with hints of citric hops and a bit of tropical fruit. Good tropical flavors: passion fruit and grapefruit with piney mango. Full body, resinous hop oils, lively carbonation, finishing bitter with pine, zest, and passion fruit lingering. Not the best Half Acre IPA I've had, but certainly enjoyable.

16oz can, dated 04.23.18, poured into a Half Acre "cult" snifter glass.
The beer pours a bright orange color, golden and copper hues, clear with a chill haze. A foamy white head, about a finger and a half tall appears that has good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is great, really piney and grassy, lots of weediness, dank with some tropical fruits and citrus peel and a backbone of cereal grains. The flavors are great, very sharp and bitter, bright tropical fruits with lots of floral and dank pine, grassy and green, resinous with some grapefruit rind and a soft kiss of pale malt. The mouthfeel is good, coating medium body that is lively and vibrant without being prickly and too carbonated that finishes with a dry and crisp bite.
Verdict: A very good IPA from Half Acre, very flavorful and full of floral and dank goodness. There is a nice tropical element that keeps it from being too green, but the balance is nice. Crisp and easy going with nice assertive bitterness.

Light golden color with tight white head. Aroma is best part of the beer: lots of tropical fruit yet a bit dank. Taste shows the fruit but in a less intense way. Finishes with a malty sweetness. Slightly bitter. A really nice beer but I think with a bit more malt flavor it would be fantastic.
