16oz can, stamped "HORSE FEATHERS 07/30/18". Cloudy golden body with a tall & creamy white head. Herbal and grassy aroma with biscuity pale malt and a bit of fruity citrus. Lighter flavors that are similar to aroma with notes of biscuity malt, honey, herbal & grassy hops, and lemon. Light-to-medium body, modestly bitter with a dry finish. Overall, a decent attempt at a Kölsch but I'd prefer a traditional German brewed one any day.

Aroma is slightly sweet malts and spicy Saaz hops. The flavor is malts, mild fruit, slightly grainy texture and a hoppy Saaz/very mild hop resin finish.

Iron & Glass - Romeoville, IL
Den is a bright, polished 24kt gold beverage. There's a bit of a chill haze running throughout the body but this beer glows when backlit. A pure white meringue-like foam grows to a finger on the pour and while it does settle, it never falls belolw a chunky crown. Handsome sheet lacing sticks to the glass with each drink.
The nose is simple, clean and bright. Damp but freshly cracked cereal grains kick it off and lead the charge. A little chalky dryness runs the middle with a nice squeeze of lemon and a subtle vague fruitiness. A well integrated mix of spicy and floral hoppiness brings up the rear.
The flavor is a little more expressive and even brighter than the nose. The graininess, again, is freshly cracked cereal grains with a sturdy white bread base. A vivid squeeze of lemon in the middle makes this beer bloom. The finish is mildly sweet with that spicy and floral hop profile lingering. This is good beer.
The body is a couple ticks under moderate in weight but sports a nice plush feel with a little push from the perfectly dialed in carbonation. The finish is dry with a soft bitterness that sticks around until the next drink and grows slightly with each consecutive drink. This beer is beyond drinkable.
Half Acre can just flat out cook it up. Doesn't matter the style or process. Den is another example of this. It's bright and vibrant and immensely drinkable. A beer I would keep in the fridge often if available and a style that's nearly impossible to find fresh, which helps these cans excel.

16oz can, willi becher glass. Cloudy unfiltered golden yellow body. One finger white head. Good retention, bit of lacing. Smell is wet grain, a bit of biscuit, light mineral, touch of lemon and floral. Not particularly hoppy, but it'll do. Mild zesty bitterness on the backend of the palate which otherwise follows the nose. Medium body, just a touch heavy, otherwise refreshing and easy to drink. Good carbonation. Mildly floral and zesty bitterness.
