32oz howler filled earlier today, poured into a Half Acre "Cult" snifter glass.
The beer pours a bright copper color, very clear and clean, amber hues with a big, foamy, white head, very tall with great retention and tons of lace. The aroma is great, tons of dank pine and grassy character, bright floral character, light citrus, candied grapefruit, sticky biscuit and amber malts. The flavors are very good, tons of bitter hop, resinous, piney, dank grassiness comes out as it warms, lots of citrus peel, a bit of candied hop and sweeter malts, biscuity with some sticky amber grains as well. The mouthfeel is great, lively, crisp, coating, medium body that finishes easily but with a dry and bitter kick.
Verdict: A great West Coast style IPA. Bitter, citrusy, dank, tons of hoppy flavor, nice assertive malt backbone, well balanced that makes for a great hoppy ale. Perhaps not the IPA d'jour of 2017, but a great representation of the West Coast style.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a growler on November 18, 2017. Look is clear gold. Smell and taste is cherry candles, citrus zest, and light caramel biscuit malt. Feel is crisp and clean.
