This beer is unlike any pale English mild I’ve drunk. Indeed, this beer is pale, but for me, does not meet the descriptors of English or mild. If I were pressed to describe this beer in a blind tasting, I would describe it as an American extra pale ale. Carbonation was pilsner-like, it has a straw colour, and a thin dry watery mouthfeel. The malt typically associated mild English ales was missing, the yeast was clean and non-descript, and the hops were slightly citrus. This beer is more inline with the current crop of US style all-day IPAs, and reminded me of Oskar Blue's Pinner.
