Loam Black Raspberry was a tiny batch of beer, designed with an under modified malt bill of wheat and chit malt. The wort was kept just shy of boiling before being transferred to stainless for fermentation with our mixed culture. After six weeks on black raspberries from Klug Farms in Michigan, we blended with a French oak aged base beer for approachable acidity and balanced tannins.
It pours a deep ruby red, with strawberry jam and spruce aroma leading to big mixed berry pie and light grasiness.
