L - Proper, dark brown, but not opaque, decent head; thin lacing as ABV (August edition is 3.8% !?) would suggest
S - Roast, bitter chocolate, some nice malt roundness
T - Solid for its weight, could drink this all day, decent palate impact given its low ABV too. Finally a porter I can more than 2-3 of in any one sitting and still be able to tell solid jokes.
F - Good carbonation, mouthfeel, crisp yet keeps the little bit of roast.
O _ a very well made (English mild) porter. ;)

32oz "howler" picked up at the Lincoln location. A tall frothy khaki head slowly fades atop a dark brown colored ale leaving chunks of foam on the sides of the glass. Dark malt and earthy hops for aroma. Flavors are better than aroma with notes of chocolate, nutty grain, burnt caramel, brown sugar, and earthy, leafy hops. Light-to-medium body, modest bitterness and a balanced finish with some mild pine coming through and lingering on the palate. This was good and extremely easy to drink - exactly what I was looking for, especially at the 4.2% ABV.
