Dark burgundy color with pinkish purple foam, spotty lace. Great color. Aroma is berry forward, blackberry, blueberry, some black cherry.
Taste is tart and fruity, cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and blackcurrant with lactic acidity. Peppercorns add some interesting complexity to the vinous feel. Crisp feel with some pleasant acidity, medium bodied and more wine like as it comes to room temp and the carb level softens. Overall it’s very successful in it’s attempt to mimic Loire valley wines.
