Sunset Vallejo is born from the base layers of the original -- Pilsner malt with an addition of flaked oats for increased body, Nelson, Comet, Sabro and Simcoe are all in..... Grapefruit shaved-ice with a coconut topper, it's not Vallejo, it's Sunset (double) Vallejo.

16oz can, dated 06.09.2020, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a very dark orange color, copper and golden hues, cloudy complexion but not hazy with a foamy finger of white head. The aroma is pleasant, big grapefruit peel, lots of fragrant citrus, bitter pine, earthy and green, raw and resinous with some alcohol and pale dough. The flavors are good, lots of grapefruit, big pine, raw hop leaf, resinous and oily, light hop spice, somewhat floral and dank with a doughy malt backbone. The mouthfeel is good, coating and crisp medium body, lively texture with a dry finish.
Verdict: A nice IIPA from Half Acre. Classic west coast flavor profile with a slighter newer east coast body that feels distinctively Half Acre.
