Foeder beer, open fermented saison, and a rye mixed culture beer, blended and racked onto 4#/gallon of Michigan blueberries. ⠀
⠀
Reminiscent of an inky, concentrated red wine, Blueberry LOAM is light bodied and fresh, with plenty of tannic complexity. Tobacco, nutmeg, and dark chocolate covered fruits, the acid is nice, keeping the overall drinking experience balanced. Like all our favorite beers, you can think about it as much or as little as you want.

Appears to be very dark violet with a purple tinted thick collar, beautiful. Smells strongly of foeder oak, with hints of wild and barnyard funk, flowers, all integrated in the jammy blueberry. Taste starts with the jammy blueberry with vanilin laden oak and supporting black currant, followed by nuances a touch of earth, flowers, wild funk/lacto and vinous notes. Feel is thinner but not light, hints of tartness and funk but neither prevail in the power struggle. Just a smart drinking blueberry wild ale, emphasis on both the blueberry and wild

Excellent blueberry aroma and notes throughout, mixed with a balancing funk. Really good stuff. Half Acre continues to make strides in their wild ales.
