16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $3.99 plus tax. Canned 03/20/23, so this beer is exactly 9 weeks old.
Look: It pours a very pretty light chestnut color with a bit of a ruby tinge. The finger of tan-colored head didn't take long to dissipate. Tiny bubbles are consistently rising up the glass. Beautiful clarity.
Smell: It smells pleasant. I get notes of toasted dark bread and grain along with some spice notes like clove and some Concord grape juice. Very nutty. A very subtle, earthy hop presence and floral notes.
Taste: Very tasty and very drinkable. This one really "wets the whistle." It is a very malty beer but I would hardly consider it sweet. I could see how if this is a Bock, then a Doppelbock is a stronger version. Some chocolate and coffee notes up front, with some root beer vibes on the finish. The finish has a mild, earthy bitterness that balances out the flavor profile very nicely. Lingering pumpernickel notes left on the palate.
Feel: It has a nice body. It's medium plus with a nice chewiness that lingers after swallowing the beer. Nicely carbonated.
Overall: I think that this is a very quaffable offering. It's really tasty and super easy to drink. I cannot tell at all that this is 6.8% ABV and I feel as if I could drink this as easily as an Oktoberfest Marzen.
From the website:
Spring Bock is a real pleasure as the sun shines warmer & stays up later. A true classic in style. Brilliant ruby with toasty biscuit & rich English toffee aromas. Malty with the biscuit & toffee on the palate balanced by a bit of bitterness.
From instagram:
SPRING BOCK returns as the first of four traditional styles in our 2023 Continental Series.
Spring Bock’s aromas & flavors meld in a rich, malty body as proper toffee & toasted rye bread are layered with dry currant & plums. Classic European earthy hop bitterness adds spice in the finish.

I love this beer. Light reddish brown in color. A delicious, balanced taste: malty, then some hops, then a bit of caramel, before leaving and making me want more. A nice, almost nitro mouthfeel, smooth, not over-carbonated. A bit hoppier than a German bock, yet still very nice. Drinking now from a can from last year, though I also recently had some fresh at their Spring Bock festival, and that was great, too (of course!).

Canned 3.22.22, poured into my tall Becher.
L -- Clear, dark copper color with a sudsy, cream-colored head that settles quickly.
S -- Herbal hops up front with the lightest of clay-like, earthy malt aroma.
T -- Nutty to lightly roasty malts with spicy-bitter, herbal hops in tow. Bread crust malts in the finish with more herbal hops in the aftertaste. There's a dark fruit (cherry-like) ester that runs through the backbone of this beer, with caramel malts adding a touch of sweetness, but the spicy hops dominate with sweetish, bready malts as runner-up.
M -- Mouthfeel is lightly syrupy to smooth with a medium body.
O -- A very nice Traditional Bock with good German influence and an Ami hop-rate with traditional German hops. My favorite Half Acre, so far.

Canned 3/22/22; drank 4/12/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through dark red appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice khaki head; frothy, tree-rung lace.
Acorn, mild caramel & faint orange peel notes in the nose.
Sticky medium mouthfeel.
Caramel & acorn flavors; mild orange peel & faint booze heat notes emerged as this warmed.
Pretty good.
