A crisp citrus-forward crusher of a Pale Ale. It pours a golden yellow with a bit of haziness in the glass. Motueka, Mosaic Cryo & Centennial shine bright on a simple malt bill. Lemon-lime, grapefruit & pine linger nicely as you take this one down. A moderate 5.5% abv & medium body for our planet’s summer swelter.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $4.35. This beer was canned on 6/13/22, so it's just after seven months old.

Look: Pours a pale light gold color with a thin off-white, slightly rocky head. Slightly hazy.

Smell: Nice aroma. I get an almost creamy vanilla note up front along with some orange (hence, orange creamsicle) along with some other citrus flavors (lime) and cantaloupe or papaya notes. Some pine and woody notes also. After swirling the glass, green bell pepper aroma is present.

Taste: It's interesting. It definitely doesn't taste as sweet as the nose suggests. Up front, there is a crackery malt and some sweet cantaloupe notes. These quickly yield to a fairly bitter and crisp finish. Nice orange rind, grapefruit pith, and piney notes on the finish.

Feel: It has a pleasant, moderately soft mouthfeel. Carbonation is sufficient and gentle. It probably wouldn't hurt if the carbonation was a bit more aggressive.

Overall: It's a solid American Pale Ale that is really easy to drink and tasty. I can only imagine how much better this beer can be when consumed fresh. Nevertheless, it seems to have held up quite well for seven months.

I really like the flavor and aroma on this one. It reminds me of an old school Pale Ale. Very nice sweet citrus taste or ripe oranges, lemons and limes, along with some floral/piney notes.

Maybe a little thin...light side of medium bodied or high side of light boded...hazy look....drinks easy with a light lingering bitterness...prefer this to Daisy Cutter which I also enjoy.

Let's empty a pint can into a clear glass liter mug to observe a cloudy light orange-amber beer with a modest white head. A mild aroma of hops, piney(?), earthy(?) hits the nose. The modest white head isn't long-lasting. This drinks closely to the way it smells. The hops are less earthy and much more citrusy than expected. It's not overly bitter. Although it's not particularly malty, there is a nice balance between the starch body and the hops. Of course, the hops win out at the finish, but that's par for an AIPA. This is one of those nothing distinguishing, nothing exciting and nothing wrong with it, modern IPAs.

Cosmic Ranch pours a hazy, orangish color, with a small, long lasting head. Aroma is dry and fruity. Flavor is dry, sweet dry fruits, a hint of lime, with a nice bitterness. Good body and feel. Overall, a nice pale ale, lots of flavors, a bit stronger.

Appearance: Pours a semi-hazy (50% clarity) medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 8. (4.00)

Aroma: Strong aromas of grapefruit citrus, lemon citrus, a flower and pine note. Some tropical guava, stonefruit and pine underneath. (4.00)

Flavor: Mild flavors of orange citrus, grapefruit citrus, lemon, pineapple, some nectarine underneath. Mild bitterness. (4.00)

Feel: Medium to light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Finish is clean and leans dry. (3.75)

Compared to Modist False Patterns 8/9/22: Pours slightly darker. Stronger aromas. More citrus, flower, pineapple. Less resinous nectarine and pine. Dryer and cleaner.

Compared to Toppling Goliath Pseudo Sue 8/9/22: Pours a similar appearance. Similar aromas. Slightly more nectarine and tropical notes. Similar lemon citrus and flower, but slightly more tropical.

Overall: A nicely made pale ale here. Definitely leans hazy with only a mild bitterness. Nice lemon citrus, grapefruit citrus, faint pineapple. Some tropical notes linger underneath. Flavor is relatively tame, and overall the body is light and drinks light. Extremely drinkable for the ABV and trends even toward an IPL. It's a good beer, but at the body and ABV, I'm pretty sure I overpaid at $4-5. I wouldn't pay more than $3, but a good beer. (Rating: 3.93)

Pours hazy yellow with a nicely developed head of foam two fingers deep that coats the glass spectacularly. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit and a faint lemon/lime. Taste is grapefruit forward with a tiny hint of lemon-lime at the end. A nice lawnmower beer.

A: The beer is hazy and a bit pale yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of herbal hops are present in teh nose along with notes of lime and mango.
T: The taste follows the smell and has a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and crisp on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and packs in a good amount of aromas and flavors for an APA.

Canned 6/23/22; drank 7/12/22 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a big white head; a thick curtain of lace.

Orange soda & fresh cut grass notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Orange soda, orange peel & dry grass flavors.

Pretty run of the mill American pale ale, in my opinion.
