64oz growler, freshly filled, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass.
The beer pours a bright golden color, honey hues, excellent clarity with a foamy white head, a few fingers tall that has great retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is great, super dank hop, fresh, earthy, raw, citrusy, pale dough and mineral water. The flavors are great, bursting with fresh wet, dank hops, earthy, grassy, a little piney, some grapefruit tanginess, moderate bitterness, mineral water, lightly floral with a nice base of pilsner malt. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively medium body that has a nice bubbly texture and a crisp texture.
Verdict: A really nice hoppy pilsner from Half Acre. While fresh, it's extracting all it needs from the hops to feel like a borderline west coast pale ale or IPA yet it's crisp and doughy and leaner like a more German Pilsner.
