Coco richness and lactose silk surround roasty notes to offer this stout a firm stance.

Poured into narrow imperial pint glass: color is solid black, head is light tan with fine bubbles and presents one finger thick, head dissipates to thin top with some spotty lacing.
Smell is light roast, cocoa, light coffee, toast, caramel, earthy hops.
Taste is light roast, cocoa, lactose, touch of coffee, light caramel, finishes with light bitter and earthy hops.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low/moderate bitterness.
Overall a very good, not overly sweet milk stout with a moderate chocolate flavor.

Pours dark chocolate brown with a two finger head. Aroma is chocolate and faintly of vanilla. When tasting, a roast character comes forward and the aroma flavors fade into the background. A typical milk stout. Enjoyable.

Black with a tan head. Roast and chocolate on the nose. Taste is chocolate, vanilla, and dark roasted coffee. Body is silky. Overall, a solid stout. I love the texture but could do with a little less roastiness.

Taste: Rich toasted malts, dark chocolate, raisins, lactose, smooth with a dry pipe tobacco finish. Semi sweet almost smokey malt and chocolate nose. Black Opaque, foamy tan head with some lace. Medium/full body. A roasted stout for after meal.

Appearance- The beer was a dark black color with a mocha colored head.
Smell - The nose was a semi-sweet combination of dark chocolate and lactose.
Taste - The dark chocolate is more better than sweet. The dark chocolate becomes more pronounced toward the back. I think the carbonation keeps any sweetness from lingering.
Mouthfeel- Again, I think the level of carbonation brushes away any sense of sweetness. The carbonation is too high.
Overall - A chocolate milk stout would seem to target the sweet tooth. I feel like Half Acre missed the mark on this one. It is not sweet enough and the carbonation is too aggressive.
