16oz can, dated 10.17.2023, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass. Enjoyed on 11.05.2023, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a very hazy and cloudy orange color, honey hues with a tall, foamy white head that has excellent retention and great lacing. The aroma is super citrus forward, lots of orange and grapefruit, wildflower, herbal tea, pine, grass clippings, dank weed and pale grain. The flavors are good, tangerine and valencia orange, sweet and tangy, wildflower, skunky weed, pine, resinous and spicy with light pale grain and mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating, chewy, fluffy medium body, very dry bite at the finish.
Verdict: A nice hazy IPA from Half Acre, super citrusy and tangy, juicy, fresh, balanced and refreshing.

Canned 10/12/23 (6 weeks ago)
Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (10% clarity), rich and medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 9. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of grapefruit, passionfruit, with some zesty, citrus and pine underneath. (3.75)
Flavor: Strong and sweet flavors of candied, orange and grapefruit, tropical pineapple, berries underneath. Juicy, tropical and sweet. (3.75)
Feel: Medium to heavier body, carbonation to match. Creamy, smooth and slightly sweet. (3.75)
Compared to 3 Sheeps Flourish 11/2023: Pours darker. Milder aromas. More grapefruit, passionfruit, citrus zest and yeast. Less smooth and tropical. Lighter and yeastier.
Overall: Nice hop combo. Expected some unique flavors, but didn't get much here. Citrus, passionfruit, yeasty and zesty. I've not been impressed with Half Acre in terms of hazy IPAs. This one isn't bad, but reminded me why. It's nothing special.

For a modern American IPA, this was a delightful pour. The just-off-white head was really a beer head, not a foamy mess. The contents of a pint can emptied nicely into a clear glass liter mug. Now, it shows a dark apricot-amber color that probably needs the description of murky. So far, its an excellent oats in the wort alert. Sometimes oats blunt the aroma, but this one is good. References could be pineapple and even some pine. The taste is balanced, but not balanced in the traditional barley malt/hoppy way. This has a more breadlike background and as the nose predicted, a fruitier nuance to its hoppiness. So, it's not transitional, but it is tasty. As mentioned, the balance between whatever hops dominate and the backbone, which is good enough that it has to have at least some barley, or barley malt. Typical of the good ones in this style, the initial taste hit is both breadlike sweet and mildly hoppy bitter. As the taste experience continues, it becomes drier, but the acceptable bitterness remains consistent. This may not be among the best beers in the world, but it's one of the best you've tried in a while. With a good hoppy bite at the finish and a mellow body throughout, this is a very well-made beer. That this is an Imperial IPA with its high ABV only adds to its positive reputation.

Pours like hazy grapefruit juice. A thin head floats atop it that leaves wonderful lacing behind. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus and pineapple. Taste is less pronounced, with a type of watered down grapefruit being the dominant profile. Carbonation is on the lower end and ABV is barely noticeable. A good drink but there are far better hazy IPAs out there.
