16oz can, dated 07.17.2023, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass. Enjoyed on 11.17.2023, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a bright golden straw color, slightly cloudy with a foamy white head that has good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is nice, earthy noble hop, very green, slightly herbal, pale grain, light citrus and mineral water. The flavors are good, lightly bitter, very earthy hop, herbal, grassy, bitter citrus peel that feels a bit astringent with nice pale grain and mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively, medium body with a dry and easy crisp finish.

Verdict: A decent Helles from Half Acre. Easy, sessionable, albeit a bit bitter and astringent for the style.

After all the stark white foam subsided, it took a while, a pint can's contents were finally emptied into a clear glass liter mug. Except for all the foam, this looks like an Adjunct American Lager. Maybe not even that good. The stark white foam above the liquid recedes quickly, leaving very little lacing. Its body is very pale amber in color and it's close to being translucent. The aroma is good, however. It's like a Pilsner, only a bit more malty. Boy, can the nose and eyes tell lies to the tongue. This is a deliciously tasting beer to drink. It begins softly malty and bangs at the finish with a hop bite. The mouthfeel is a perfect mix of being smooth, rich and somehow, also light. If you like beers with a very drinkable body, you'll like this. If you like beers with transitional tastes, you'll like this. If you like beers that just taste good, you'll like this. If you need a beer to present beautiful glass lacing, you'll be disappointed.

Canned 7/17/23; drank 9/4/23 @ the Yarchives.

See-through yellow/orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big, noisy bright white head; nice lacing remained.

White bread, fresh corn & faint honey notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Fresh corn, wheat & mild honey flavors.

Substantial, flavorful yet easy to drink. A real nice Helles!
