16oz can, dated 12.11.2023, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass. Enjoyed on 02.16.2024, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a hazy orange color, lots of floating sediment with a foamy white head, good retention and lacing. The aroma is pleasant, grapefruit citrus, sweet melon, earthy herbal tea, berry fruits, white grape, pale dough, and wildflower. The flavors are good, lots of pale grain and dough, citrus peel, tropical mango and pineapple, white grape, grass clippings, herbal tea, and wildflower. The mouthfeel is good, coating, smooth, easy medium body and a heavier finish.
Verdict: A nice IPA from Half Acre. The Nelson hop is very pronounced and steals the show.

More like a hazy/west coast hybrid. Not clean enough to be a full on westie. It's good but nothing special.

From Good Times Oakland, canned December 6th 2023.
It pours a clear pale gold with a finger of very long lasting foam, good lacing.
The smell is some tropical fruitiness up front, grapefruit, some pine. Oh,I see some floaties; I didn't expect that from a ~1 month old beer.
Taste matches the smell but the floaties, sediment at the bottom of my glass is a turnoff.
Mouthfeel is good.

Canned 12/11/23; drank 1/7/24 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange/yellow appearance; sediment is visible in the glass.
A rough pour yielded a big white head; a thick curtain of frothy tree-rung lacing remained.
Grapefruit, fresh ganja & mild pine notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Grapefruit & ganja flavors up front; pineapple & dry grass notes on the finish.
It's big & bold, but it's too much. One is more than enough.

L - promising on appearance, clear as a west coast IPA, nice head foaming action, decent lacing as it descends the glass.
S - some mixed aromas of peach, cat, and then uh oh... some woody coconut thing that then starts messing with me.
T - Where the beer doesn't do it; it's fine, not off and it wasn't old (2-3 weeks old), but it has that sudsy woody note on the palate from either the Riwaka or the Nectaron that just instantly makes me disappointed. Not exactly as nasty as Sabro, just.... weird, and not my fave.
F - OK mouthfeel, good carbonation, but man that woody afternote. I usually love dry beers that fall of a cliff, but again, that woody coconut note - just ack.
O - One of my least favorite DIPAs from Half Acre. Pretty disappointed in this and I hope it's not a sign of things to come.
