Building an inverted pyramid of integrated sensory identity, we give you Double Barrel Catch Hell with Madagascar Vanilla & Saigon Cinnamon. The aroma has a bunch of wicked little things, like bellying up to a Fannie Mae sampler bar with a two-finger iced bourbon sipper. Welcoming it in, FULL MELD flavor bond of distillers select bourbon, dark chocolate buttercream vanilla cake dusted with cinnamon. Barely a whisper of its 16% ABV inside this power stout.

Thanks to jinx989 for this 12 oz. can as I begin the long journey through all the beer he threw at me. This is the ’23 rather than the ’24 I had previously.
Black, with so little head it doesn’t threaten to overflow my 12 1/3 oz. glass. Like the second version this leads with a dull roar of barrel & sweetness.
Catch Hell – Double Barrel Aged (2023) is, far as I can tell, nearly identical to the (2024) version. In fact, I’m not even going to write a review, just see the other one.

Sweet milk chocolate, a hint of all-spice and cinnamon, vanilla, and a balanced bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with some baker's chocolate with cinnamon, creamy vanilla, and a bourbon barrel boozy finish. This has a very nice and viscous mouthfeel to it...and this gets better as it warms. Before warming up, my palate was missing a touch of sweetness upfront to compliment the mouthfeel, chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla. As it opened up more, a kiss of sweetness appeared that helped me enjoy this more. Good stuff!
