Deep caramel in color with a productive off-white head. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, nutmeg. Taste is mostly caramel with light hop bite in the finish. Body is medium light. What I like about this marzen is that it's not nearly as sweet as many.

It was okay...
Looked great coming out of the can and had a great dark caramel hue to it. But the rest of it was pretty much 'meh'. Mouthfeel was very carbonated and the taste was somewhat metallic. Not bad, but not one of the better ones I have had, especially recently...

Half Acre Lager Town presents with a burnished copper color sitting beneath a creamy beige head. Fruity meets with hops nose. Sticky lacing. Initial taste has an end note of malty finish, leaning a thick taste. Flavors of coriander and nutmeg at the party. Mouthfeel is medium, but with a decent warming from the 5.8% this is a respectable brew. Semi dry on the finish.

12 ounce can, 070825 stamped on the bottom of the can so I'm assuming that was the canned on date. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a slightly hazy amber color with about an inch off-white head that stayed around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. The brew smells like toasted malt, herbal hops and some breadiness. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some caramel. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and has a good amount of carbonation. I liked this one, certainly worth trying if you come across some!

The pour is copper colored with a moderate amount of carbonation. The taste is caramel, baked bread, & toasted grains. Cheers!

From Good Times Oakland, canned July 8th 2025.
Pours a clear amber with plenty of long lasting foam and good lacing.
Smell is on the hoppier side rather than the maltier side. Some bread and grain do come through with some notes of grass and citrus.
The taste fares better with more of a malt lean. Good notes of bread, light grain and caramel. It does have a healthy grassy bitterness.
Good mouthfeel, good Oktoberfest. I wouldn't turn down another can.

This wasn't my favorite Oktoberfest. It just seemed to be missing some of the malt backbone, and so it almost came out like a hoppier red ale instead of a Marzen. It wasn't watery, but didn't quite have the flavor profile you normally get from this style. If they really pumped up the malt addition this would be better.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little marzen pours a luminous
deep amber with a very nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring,
thin layer, and sports some nice lacing. Nose of toasted grains, breaded malts,
caramel, and light herbal hops. Flavors surpass the nose with a nice presentation
of toasted grains, caramel, breaded malts, and light peach notes dashed with
herbal bittering hops. Mouth feel is medium, medium light carbonation, smooth,
refreshing, and finishing nicely balanced and subtly dry.
Overall, a solid brew
Cheers

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a chestnut color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of bready malts. Taste is bready malts, a touch of caramel and hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a highly refreshing beer.
