16oz can, date stamped 110425. Thanks to Ken for giving me a can to try!
L: dark brown/monogany with some ruby hues when held to light; foamy khaki head holds good retention
S: roast, cocoa, pine, zesty citrus
T: roast & char, cocoa, dark grain, cola, zesty citrus, faint marijuana, earthy pine
F: medium body, resinous, sticky hop oils, moderate carbonation, bitter finish with pine lingering
O: one of the better Black IPAs I’ve had

Poured into a narrow imperial pint glass: color is dark brown to near black, head is light tan with fine to small bubbles and presents 1.5 fingers thick, head lingers well with solid top and lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is moderate hops with an earthy and citric lean, then roast and light chocolate.
Taste is similar with a hop forward flavor with citric pith, earth, and herbal hops, then roast and chocolate with lighter base malt notes.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness.
Overall a very good black ipa - hop forward with notable dark malt character.

Canned 11/4/25; drank 12/26/25 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big tan head; thick, frothy lacing remained.
Orange citrus, dry ganja & faint medium roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Orange citrus & faint coffee bean flavors up front; dry ganja notes on the finish.
Standard Black IPA vibes here, but extra dry & not enough roastiness to balance this out. Not one I'll return to.
