Gravity pour at the tap room. 13oz snifter.
A - White foam settles to a near-complete cap, thick collar, and splotches of lace. Lightly hazed golden body.
S - Mint, cucumber skin; quite vegetal. There's perhaps some lime peel in the periphery but the base beer has largely been masked by the adjuncts. Odd, and a tad harsh.
T - Taste is significantly better, with a nice mix of sweet lime and cucumber flesh before yielding to the base beers sweet, bready malts and yeast character. Not much hop presence here, although there's a low level of bitterness imparted by the cucumber skin.
M - Pleasant medium body, low carbonation, a tad watery but quite drinkable. Soft texture, with a lightly tannic finish. As expected, no alcohol presence.
D - Aroma was odd, but the taste was pretty good. Really appreciate the restraint when it comes to the mint, as that flavor can really overwhelm and it doesn't here. On the whole a pretty successful experiment. Quite refreshing after a long bike ride.
