Keller hopped w/ Magnum, Saphir & Hallertauer
If our strip mall had a cellar, this is the beer we’d be drinking there, straight from the tank. But we make do. This unfiltered lager is creamy and crisp, sweet but dry, and best served sequentially. Prost!

Cloudy gold, a finger of foam that settles to a broken skim and outer ring, some patchy flecks of lacing here and there.
Aroma is malt forward and mildly doughy, some soft minerality as well.
Round and doughy, mellow pale malt, biscuity and supple in feel. Vague earthy noble hop, not really bitter though. Carb isn’t too intrusive, it’s like a warm blanket of malt on a cold day.
Love a good unfiltered lager, and this is a nice one.

Had on tap. Clear golden pour with a white head. White bread, keller yeast, sweet golden malt, and grass with light botanicals in the nose. Taste is muted with the botanicals, big honey malt and bread. Feel is thinner but quenching and pleasant. A little more maltwork would help take this to the next level

Adding a full review, as promised. Catching up for lost time in January!
L -- Hazy yellow with a sudsy white head that settles quickly.
S -- Herbal hops and light bready to husky malts with a touch of lemon zest back.
T -- Somewhat husky to mildly sweet and bready malts up front and throughout. Finish is herbal bitterness that lingers into the aftertaste. There's also that touch of lemon zest in the finish and aftertaste.
F -- Mouthfeel is soft to crisp and dry with a light to light-medium body.
O -- Pretty decent rendition from a small brewery. The huskiness can get a little overwhelming, but this beer is in the same league as Grevensteiner and Urban Chestnut's Zwickel. Not bad company to keep!.

Canned 12/21/21; drank 1/1/22 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; decent lace.
Sweet corn, soft wheat & faint lemon notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Sweet corn & caramel flavors up front; soft wheat finish.
Melds together excellently. I'd have another!!

Served from the can in a Roaring Table shaker pint glass.
Not too many beers coming from the "keller" these days, so it's even better to find one so close to home. This one pours a mostly clear amber-gold topped by a finger or so of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild cereal grains, light cracked wheat, sweet flowers, and a drop or two of honey. The taste follows fairly closely, leaning more on the wheatier flavors and adding a tiny bit of yeasty spice in the background. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a smooth, fluid feel. Overall, a tasty, refreshing zwick'l, another offering I hope sticks around as a year-rounder.
