Poured from 500mL can into a wine glass. Best by 4/2/23. According to the label, this is a lager with blueberry and two kinds of hops.
Appearance: nice amber-red hue with a finger of white foam that has a light pink cast to it. The body itself is totally clear. It's definitely a good color, though its head retention is a little lacking.
Smell: lightly sweet blueberry aroma that just has a feeling of being artificial. According to the label, it is made with blueberry concentrate, but it's also sweetened which I think gives it that feeling.
Taste: it's actually not too bad -- there's a beery undertone along with the sweet blueberry character, and just a little bit of tartness balances out the sweet. It seems a bit like it's cheating, but be that as it may, I kind of enjoy this.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a light carbonation. Not really creamy, but relatively fizzy.
Overall: I mean, this is a macro lager with blueberry concentrate and sugar. On paper there's not much to like about this. But in execution -- what can I say? It's a refreshing quaff.
