This was the result of a bartender grabbing me a random beer from the bar fridge and boy did it ever not disappoint! It has a 3 finger foamy head when poured from the can into a pint glass and a pleasant golden color with a continual stream of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. The smell is fresh-baked bread with a bit of grassy and herbal character. The taste has prominent notes of plum and coriander. The feel is live and bubbly, almost like champagne. I admittedly haven't tried too many Saisons but I found this one to be a standout.

Polyamorous Cabal Barewolf Brewing Farmhouse Ale - Saison

A decent American brewed Farmhouse. Can't be compared to authentic French/Belgian versions of course, but it's a nice try. At least it's not dominated by banana and clove flavored yeast. This yeast has nice spices, sour earthy funk and clean malty bite.

Mild haze to the pale golden liquid. Modest head which leaves a modicum of spots.

Barnyard aroma featuring mostly Bret with some faint orange peel and coriander. No pepper to the nose.

There’s a dollop of lactose cream. Fairly well balanced and not biting like some Saisons. Bret is still the most pronounced flavor with some neutral citrus and finish that has a bit of plum. Moderate aftertaste. The body is average with a below expectation (barely) of carbonation.

Can date smudged, sometime in 2022.
Pours a large foamy fizzy almost 3 finger head with moderate retention, fair fluffy lacing, mostly clear semi hazy blonde to pale color

Nose is quite nice, big farmhouse floral herbal saison aroma, grassy, lemony, lemongrass, hay, bright lemon citrus, mild herbal floral hops, almost Meyer lemon, a little farmhouse funk and phenol spices, hint bubblegum ester with the fruits, zest

Taste brings some grainy malts, doughy wheat, raw sourdough bread dough, mild herbal floral hop with a bit of bitterness, quite grassy, hay, lemongrass, fair farmhouse funky notes but not wild at all, little peppery spice phenol notes, lemony citrus zest, hint of bubblegum, and pome fruit esters, med-light bitterness up front, dry finish with med-higher bitterness,

Mouth is med bod, high effervescent carb

Overall quite nice, very nicely done Belgian farmhouse saison, good base malt and maybe wheat, great yeast additions, good hop, quite a nice saison
