In this beer we explore deep oceans of the mysterious planet we orbit... As these oceans of hop character push you to reject all sensory composure, we approach truth and we are condemned to knowledge! Breathe and drink to understand the aromas and flavors of intense tropical grapefruit, lime, and pine-resin in this can. We do not seek to conquer the cosmos, we only want to extend the Earth to it's utmost... We love that which can be lost, so drink this at the speed of light, before the depth of our beautiful hop aroma fades.

Pours a bold yellow-orange hazy like color with a half finger head.
Smells of tropical fruits and yeast.
Taste is very fruity to start. In The mid it transfers from fruit to malted hops and biscuit. A bitter hop finish. No lingering bitterness.
It's described as "hoppy Ale" I can see why.

Poured from undated can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours an opaque, pastel orange color with two fingers of fluffy, eggshell-colored head and thick, soapy lacing. The fragrant nose includes lemon, lime, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, and soft floral hops. It bursts with fruit but in a surprisingly delicate way. The grapefruit and lemon are tart but well-balanced by the sweetness of peach and ripe melon. Although the hops aren't listed I understand that Motueka is used - and it comes through in the lemon, lime, and spicy herbal notes. There is a firm malty base that provides some additional bready sweetness. Like most Foreign Objects ales, there is a strong bitter but clean hop bite throughout. The mouth feel is nicely viscous and creamy with appropriate carbonation, and at 6.8% ABV it goes down very easily. Overall, Solarys is excellent. I would be happy to drink it any time.

Look- high opacity and airy foam which dissipates at an average rate.
Aroma- drive by brings some bright mango notes. A closer smell brings in pine. There’s a note in these hazies that hits me as chocolate. Weird, I know. Wonder what that is…
Taste: grapefruit, pine, bitterness dissipates after about 25 seconds.
Mouthfeel: a bit heavier than I would like.
Overall: hazy IPA’s are usually carried through their heavy mouthfeel by bright, citrus elements. This one doesn’t have the effervescence to do that.

A: Rush of effervesce inside a dank orange colored body. A healthy three plus inch soapy, foam capping is fairly resilient atop. Low lace.
S: Tropical peaches are first to arrive. Spicy hops, golden citrus flower and grapefruit along with some tropical mango that was sweet. Wet and resinous hop oils are slick with pineapple and fruitiness. Solid overall presentation.
T: Flavor was dank oranges with a sharp and flowery citrus-grapefruit bite. Dry stalky grains, tangerine tartness with a chalky pollen like hop offering.
M: Mouthful was gentle carbonation wise, frothy and building, with a medium consistency.
O: A dank orange-citrus, nicely hopped and always fresh offering from F.O. that lives up to the brewery's reputation. Flowery hop finish, strong drinkability with wet whirlpool hop nose.

Cloudy golden color with a 4F head in a Spielgelau IPA glass.
Peach, citrus aroma.
Slightly thin body for an IPA.
Aroma follows the taste, with a lot of peach.
Very hoppy finish.
Excellent beer. Perhaps the beer is too hoppy. The mellow peach is best balanced with a moderately hoppy finish.

Poured into a 16 oz Snulip glass canned on 9/24/19. Pours a very hazy orange yellow with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves loads of thick webs of lace with solid retention. 4.5
Smell is peach, mango, papaya, pineapple, and apricot very tropical and pleasant. 4.25
Taste follows peach, stone fruit, ripe melon, mango, pineapple, papaya, and apricot. Really nicely balanced and huge on flavor for only 6.8%. 4.25
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, really soft carbonation, sticky not dry, and bigger on flavor than the actual ABV. 4.5
Overall these guys just keep putting out excellent NEIPAs. Very nice beer, highly recommend giving it a go. 4.25

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had an orange / yellow color and an extremely cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus fruit, pine, malt, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a bit of malt (mostly in the finish), a tinge of pine (kind of fleeting), a good shot of citrus fruit (grapefruit, in particular), some hops (not overdone, though), and a hint of tropical fruit (mango, especially). A well-balanced and focused flavor. The combination of the fruit elements and the pine work well together. Pretty tasty.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth and creamy finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A rock solid, easy to drink beer. Worth a look.

Bright and cloudy orange-yellow body; very thin and soapy head. Low-key aroma; some relatively fresh orange juice notes. Nice flavor; biscuit-like malt flavor with a citrus hop punch; grapefruit; mildly tart. Medium body; velvety with a powdered sugar kind of feel; some alcohol heat; fairly dry overall.
The date on the bottom of the can is "19-924", so pretty fresh, but I just didn't get any particularly resounding 'wow' factor out of this one. The mouthfeel is very nice and the taste is pretty solid for a hazy IPA, but the look and aroma were pretty pedestrian. This is the kind of hyped beer that I will have to try again as it seems others have a higher opinion about it than I do. And because it is a fine, solid beer overall, I think I'll do that...
