A: Pours a yellow/orange color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and nice lace is left behind.
S: Up front has a distinct phenol and plastic like yeast character. Even some peppery spice. A bit of malty sweetness in the finish.
T: Like the nose, phenolic and plastic like. Peppery, lightly sweet, a bit more fruity character comes out, but nondescript. I don't get much more. Not the best Saison, but enjoyable for what it is.
M/O: A medium body with moderate carbonation. Seems a bit muddled, and not as crisp as most Saisons. Not hard to drink, and something I can come back to at the brewery with ease.
Not a bad attempt at an American Saison, but the phenolic and plastic yeast takes over a little too much IMO. An OK example, but there are better available both locally and especially regionally.
