A: Pours with a slight haze, a golden/orange color. A tow finger white head forms with good retention. Light lace is left behind.
S: That big plastic and phenol yeast character is up front and center. I always think the best part of a Saison in the yeast, but this is just plastic phenols. With a spicy, herbal, nondescript "fruity" hop aroma lingering.
T: Like the nose, spicy, plastic, phenolic . Again the plastic character takes over up front. The dry hopping doesn't add much except an herbal and fruity bitterness lingering.
M/O: A medium body with moderate carbonation. I would like more of a crisp bite. Saying all this, nothing is bad at all, and I can drink this pretty easily. Just think there are better versions easily available.
This is dry hopped with Motueka, though outside of an earthy bitterness in the finish I don't get much here. Outside of the big plastic phenol punch that the base is known for. While certainly not bad, I am just not a fan of the yeast character here. Which is usually what I most enjoy with the style. Everyone's mileage may very here...
