Ale Fermented in Oak
Refermented on Second Use Grenache Grapes from Upland Vineyard
This 2020 harvest beer was made using second use Grenache grapes from Upland Vineyard on Spines Mountain. The destemmed grapes were lightly pressed for rosé then underwent a short maceration with a blend including mostly wheat saison from second and fourth use gin barrels.
This beer was refermented to condition in the bottle with Washington Star Thistle honey. Thanks to Chris and crew at Avennia for their generosity and grapes.

Exceptionally good even for Floodland. Bright grape flesh, not unlike St Lamvinus. Light lemon acetic acidity which remains soft and mild. Grape skin and a mild tannic bitterness. Slight wheat germ. Medium body, good carbonation. Really nice grape saison
