Juicy J by Mascot has loads of fresh squeezed juice aroma and flavour. Intense fruity hops, sweet malt and a smooth mouthfeel.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My second beer from the Toronto brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO; the packaging date is illegible. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a relatively clear golden-yellow colour, topped with nearly two fingers of puffy, foamy white head that recedes within three or four minutes. A generous collar of soapy suds lives on, with a beautiful arcing pattern of lace painted onto the glass - looks great so far. Citrusy aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon peel and lime zest, with lesser notes of tropical fruit also discernible.
Juicy, citrus-focused flavour profile that starts off strong - I'm mostly getting orange, grapefruit and lemon zest, with just a hint of cantaloupe. Finishes pithy, with some grassy hops, blood orange and a slight resinous quality; moderate bitterness, with a citrusy aftertaste that lingers a bit. Medium in body, with gentle carbonation that rolls along the tongue, adding a very soft bite to this brew's smooth, juicy mouthfeel. Great drinkability, too.
Final Grade: 3.99, a B+. Mascot's Juicy J is an above average Ontario IPA that is sure to appeal to fans of citrusy pale ales, and Citra hops in particular. I will try to find a fresh can and possibly update this review at some point - this can wasn't dated, but I bought it a while ago and would not be shocked if it's 6+ months old. Old or not, I still think this is a really solid IPA - maybe not a whole lot of variety going on in the flavour department, but it makes up for that in terms of potency. Worth a shot for sure.
