Poured a 473ml can into a pint glass. A scant one finger bubbly light brown head on an almost black reddish brown. the head dissipates to a thin ring. Minimal spotty lacing.
Toasted malts in the nose. Coffee. The taste follows the nose. A somewhat dry minimally bitter finish.
Light body and light carbonation. Overall a solid light Schwarzbier. Pretty solid flavour for a light beer.

473 mL can; dated Oct 16 2025 and served slightly chilled. Day 24 of the 2025 Toronto Brewing advent calendar, featuring a festive ugly sweater-themed seasonal label.
Pours dark but not quite opaque; holding this reddish-brown liquid to the light reveals hues of burgundy and crimson red. Just over an inch of foamy, frothy beige head rises from the surface, but degrades within two or three minutes; a tight collar is left behind, with spotty lace deposition after each sip. The aroma is both appealing and substantial for such a light beer. Toasted bread & light caramel, with roasted malts imparting hints of cocoa, milk chocolate and chicory.
A well-constructed dark lager; a tad less flavourful than a full strength 4.8-5% schwarzbier, but quite good for a North American knock-off. I'm getting some toasted malts and light caramelized sweetness at the forefront, trending roastier by mid-sip. Coffee, whole grain bread, cocoa & ash on the back end, concluding with a roasty aftertaste that lingers. Light -ish in body, with low carbonation and a very smooth mouthfeel; texturally pleasing, particularly for a light lager.
Final Grade: 3.81, a B+. Beige Panther is a fine dark lager that I'm glad I had the chance to try. This isn't explicitly marketed as a schwarzbier, but it's also one of those cases where it's arguably adjacent and/or close enough. Sure, a drier finish would've helped, but I don't really think there's a better fit, style-wise - maybe Euro Dark Lager, but that's literally just a generic catch-all. Either way, it's very good for a 'dark light lager', and a brew that I think I'd buy on a rotating basis, if it were available locally.
