Perennial is a nod to a traditional British pub ale and features Kernza®, a deeply rooted perennial grain developed by The Land Institute. Expect a malt-forward ale with subtle toasted grain flavors and balanced spice. We’re proud to brew with Kernza® and support TLI’s mission to create a truly regenerative agriculture system.

Clear, copper colored body; thin yet lasting head, dense sheets of foam line the glass. The nose is a bit malty with fruity esters; bread crust. Malt-forward taste; bready with earthy spiciness; bold hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp with a mild abrasiveness on the palate.
A very good ale; reasonably complex and unique.

Pours a deep burnt orange with a foggy translucency. Head is two fingers of off-white foam, and retains well. Aroma is crackers, wafers, bread, and toast. Fig appears a little later. As a whole, the aroma leans dry. Flavor profile is toasty, crackers, wafers, bread, and caramel. It's dry with a little herbal hop lingering. Mouth feel is medium in thickness. Texture is creamy. Overall, nice and comfy, though it has a rather large ABV level for a 'pub ale.'
