Hoppy at first but ends with a pleasant malty taste. Served as a flight at brewery.

From the can into a pint glass. Standard pils straw coloring and a crisp smell. An above average taste for an American example with a nice citrus note and dry, clean aftertaste. This is a solid example, good for hot summer days.

Can, dated5/28:
Pours into a Pilsner glass with a little chill haze that doesn't completely leave, but ends up as a wisp of whiteness on an otherwise light yellow golden body. Some rocky head drops to a half-coverage film and supplies a few streams of lacing.
A little malt sweetness gives a slight orange hard candy edge to the citrus notes I am also getting. Also a little grain and grass, all of which also come out in the taste. The malt throws a little sprinkle of sugar on the cereal up front, countered fairly early by a mildly pungent grass bitterness. The citrusy hop grows from this, with a minty more than piney ending.
The beer is fairly light, but with a fairly bold hop presence that leans it comfortably to the bitter side. Definitely not a classic Pilsner as its name indicates (not too bready and American instead of Noble hops), but a nice American lager as it is categorized here (properly in my opinion).

I tried this at the Roanoke, VA location. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that left a nice lace. The scent had hints of grain . The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with malt base and subtle bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.
