A; Pours with a slight chilled hazed, golden/yellow color. A two finger white head forms with good retention, and plenty of lace left behind.
S: Peppery spice and phenols up front. Grassy and earthy hops in the nose. Simple, but the phenols don't become overly plastic like, which is an issue with many American examples I have had (and many from the Houston area as well).
T: Like the nose, most the flavor comes from the yeast. With peppery spice and phenols. Hops are strong, with a grassy, herbal and bitter finish. Very nice.
M/O: A medium body with crisp carbonation. Though smooth at the same time, and finishes dry. Really easy to drink. Something I can come back to with ease.
A very nice and well made example of an American Saison. Fairly simple, which I really enjoy, and I like the yeast character is not overly plastic like. Which defiantly can be a issue with American examples. I like this a lot.
