A traditional tasting Belgian Saison. At first smell you pick up hints of coriander, and noticable clove characteristics due to the high fermentation temperature. This pairs perfectly with the warm summer harvest weather.

16 ounce crowler into tulip glass, filled on 7/14/2019. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and light wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, coriander, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and fairly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.6%. Overall this is an excellent saison. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; great soft feel for the style. Great well rounded Saison yeast complexity; with a great balanced wheat/malt backbone, and solid earthy hop presence. Light residual sweetness with crisp drying. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. No complaints.
