Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Handwritten number on bottom of the can is “3426”, so both 3/4/26 and the 34th day of 2026 are plausible canning dates.
Appearance: kind of a pale matte orange-tan hue with a fair dose of haze and a thick head of frothy ivory foam.
Smell: aroma is quite sweet with a kind of indeterminate tropical fruitiness. It’s not too bad, although the sweetiness is almost cloying.
Taste: a whole lot like the aroma. Sweet and fruity, with a rather nondescript tropical character. It’s brewed with “natural pineapple flavor”, though I don’t think I’d have picked pineapple out of the mix here. Not great, not terrible.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: an interesting enough beer; it’s alright, but that’s because I tend to like sweeter tropical IPAs. I think maybe most consumers would find this rather underwhelming.
