Poured from 16oz can into my 8th Wonder chalice. No date on the can, but this was just released a week or so ago for their 9th anniversary, and I picked this can up at the brewery.
Appearance: darkish yellow hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: there’s a sweetness to the malt and a kind of flat aroma of passionfruit from the hops. It’s not terrible but it’s not very enticing.
Taste: sweetish malt with kind of a plain maltiness, and a grassy hop flavor that’s not my favorite. Some of that passionfuit is there, too, though. I mean, it’s okay, I guess, but I don’t love it.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a pretty good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: like I said, it’s not terrible, but it’s just not for me.
