Pours a frothy semi dense tan head with fair retention, a bit of lacing, dark mahogany brown slight opaque color
Nose brings chocolate up front, dark chocolate, a bit of cocoa, mild roast coffee and cream, toasted chocolate pastry
Taste brings more chocolate, creamy chocolate oatmeal and creamy flaked oats, dark cocoa, toasted biscuity malts with a bit of baking spices and cookie, fair roast with more of that coffee and cream notes, some bitterness from the roast and a hint of hop bite, soft semi dry finish with more spicy hops lingering
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, creamy rich, med carb
Overall pretty nice, delivers what it promises, like a lighter lagered version of an oatmeal stout
