750ml bottle split between a pair of snulips. Don't see a date, but the label says its Batch 2.
Pours very hazy, yellow-amber color, slightly pinkish tinge. Head on the pour was a couple fingers tall, a few minutes later it's about a half centimeter, fair amount of active carbonation. Smell is...hard to describe. I do get a thread of berry, there's some slightly harsh vegetation. Maybe some lime. Something vaguely oaky, something slightly astringent, something hinting at tropical notes.
Taste is slightly more straightforward. Berry's more of an undertone, I get more tropical stuff like pineapple and passionfruit. Pretty tart. Oakiness is still there but still fairly understated.
Mouthfeel is fairly thick, but not oppressive. Light chalkiness, feels very dry. Also interesting. Overall...this is a strange and unconventional beer, but still enjoyable and seems to be well-made.
