Fun mad scientist in the Beer lab. Half mix of a Black IPA aged in Oak Merlot barrel with half mix of a smoked oyster stout aged in oak cab sav barrel. Unsure if either worked as stand alones but the blend was actually a pretty nice interesting brew. Big, roasty, touch lactic which softened as it warmed. Very nice notes of wine; barrel and smoke. Suggests that brewers are open to lots of ideas and experiments. Nice job!
