Brewed by the people, for the people. This super traditional German Pilsner is brewed with only imported German malt and the famous Czech Saaz Hops. Crisp and delicious with a little hop character, this beer is a delight.

This is nearly identical to DeSchutes' Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Super fruity up front with zero bitterness penalty. Very drinkable.

From the can it pours a clear pale straw color with a hint of gold. A thumbnail length head displays good retention.
The nose opens by highlighting the hops that emit fruity, floral and citrusy notes. This is followed by a malt aroma that is bready, grainy and biscuity. The one drawback is that the sulfury aroma present in lagers is, although not terrible, a bit too persistent to my liking.
Light bodied and crisp with a lively carbonation. Well balanced and clean flavors combine dry cracker, bready and biscuity malts with moderately spicy and easy going hops bitterness. The hops flavors range from notes of fruit, floral, grassy and lemony. The hops flavors provide a nice crispy prickle on the tongue. The finish is short, clean and dry with some bitterness in the aftertaste.
Well made and easy to drink lager. The only flaw was parts of the aroma, as described above.

Poured from a 16oz can. Cloudy pale amber with lots of carbonation. Minimal yet consistent head. Nice lacing down the glass. Nice feel with a pleasant melon aftertaste. A nice alternative to some other Pilsners.
