I have to preface this with the caveat that this beer wasn't what I was looking for when I bought it. This is very much a 'dessert' IPA, and I was expecting something more conventional.
It's a fruity milkshake IPA, and if that's what you're looking for, then this may be exactly what you want. It's a sweet confection with decent mango flavor, a thick velvety mouthfeel and no bitterness. If you're trying to get someone who doesn't like beer to try beer, this might be something that they'd enjoy. If you want something to savor after dinner on a summer evening in place of blackberry peach pie, this might be up your alley. But if you're looking for something balanced and versatile, this isn't it. It's sweet hop fruitiness, the summer version of the barrel-aged chocolate stout.
