In the deepest depths of the ocean, if a whale sings a song, could you hear it at the surface? Whale song is a light sour ale with a blend of fresh blueberry and peach puree. Enjoy this refreshing sour this summer with water-based activities & whale watching!

After two twelve ounce cans were emptied entirely into a clear glass liter mug, plenty of a fruity aroma filled the air. It's sort of balanced between peachy and berry-like. After that, there's little more beer smell, maybe some yeast, maybe some grainy starches. The generous, yet short-lived head, is off-white and tinted by the liquid's color. That is richly reddish-amber, somewhat bright and moderately cloudy. Its taste is heavily of peach, although there is a blueberry contribution. Although it isn't overly sweet, there's not much sourness to balance this out. Standard beer qualities are nearly missing, save for a less than pleasant yeastiness. The glass lacing is at best, sparse. Overall, unless you want a yeasty peach flavored, almost hard seltzer-like brew, a pass is recommended. Nice name and artwork; but, the connection between peaches and whales seems a stretch.

Hazy, bright gold body. Average size white head with modest lacing. Peach is prominent in both the aroma and taste. Not picking up much in the way of the blueberries mentioned in the commercial description although there is a trace of a berry component in the flavor. Peach still dominates. Good carbonation. Light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, decently tart but 'sour' is a stretch.
