BAVARIAN-STYLE HEFEWEIZEN
Well balanced between a soft wheat body & banana clove character from a special yeast strain.

On draft at Saucy in Sandusky. Poured a cloudy, golden yellow color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of banana, clove, wheat and caramel. Nice hefe with banana, clove and wheat flavors.

Canned on 6/10/20. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with solid clarity; small creamy eggshell white head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of banana and bubblegum. Subtle spice notes. Lots of yeasts. Malts are there. The flavors follow the nose. More banana and bubblegum leading the way. The spices are subtle. There's a subtle earthiness as well. Moderate to low bitterness. Yeasts come through. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the fuller side of light-bodied with moderate to low carbonation. It's extremely fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a pretty solid hefeweizen. Solid aromas and flavors. It's refreshing and fitting for the summer. I like it.

This is a classic wheat-style German Hefeweizen. The wheat flavor is upfront and strong in the nose. There are also notes of nuttiness and bananas in both flavor and in the nose. With the right glassware, the head will linger and release those wheat and banana notes. Like every Saucy beer, it is extremely crisp and clean.

Great start. Lacking in aftertaste.
