Opaque yellow-orange-tan with a thick white foam head leaving bubbly spongy lace.

Smell is vanilla cream, oats, orange and wheat.

Taste is tangy but bitter of pine, with a citrus melange of orange, lemon, and grapefruit rind backed by oaty malt, straw and hay.

The medium body has a soft froth but thins out on the finish to a chalky dry swallow.

This is a good first attempt at the sub-style for a brewery that has been hit or miss on everything else. This is close to a Trillium NE IPA, with a bitter bite and chewy dry finish, but the significant oat-like presence has me ultimately comparing it to Tired Hands. It's not quite on their level, but close.

This is Volume 1 in their "Hazy Series". Canned on 3/15/18. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy and cloudy yellowish golden; small eggshell white head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing. The aromas have nice tropical fruit notes along with some malts. The flavors basically follow the nose for the most part. Hints of watermelon leading the way along with some pineapple and grapefruit. Some pine and fresh grass in the mix. Mild sweetness along with a moderate to low bitterness. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the fuller side of medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's smooth and easy to drink.

This is a nice brew. Solid hop aromas and flavors. Solid fruit juice vibe. It's more/less what you would expect from a "New England IPA". It's enjoyable stuff. I like it. Well done.
