Our Blonde Bière de Garde is the first farmhouse ale to come out of our brewhouse. A delicate combination of European base and soft crystal malts round out the malt backbone that holds up spicy and floral Saaz hops. Fermented as it would be in the French country side with native yeast from the region at warm ale temps. The result is a beautiful harmony of biscuity malts, fresh herbal hops, and classic Belgian/ French yeast notes. For further complexity we aged the Bière de Garde in second use wine barrels, both white and red for no less than 3 months. The blend of barrels created tannins, oak, ripe dark fruit as well as floral notes, white fruit and agrumes
