Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super pale straw color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades super fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a lemonade like smell mixed with some peach and apricot aromas as well as a decently strong showing of wheat and grain. Along with these smells comes notes of salt and coriander as well as some herbal smells. There is a little bit of funk and rock candy mixed in there as well. It is a very odd aroma. Oddly it has notes of pizza mixed with lemonade.
Taste – The taste begins very light lemondrop flavor mixed with a moderately wheaty and grainy taste. There are herbal flavors of coriander and tarragon upfront which seem to persist throughout the taste. At the same time the lemon fades all while the malt seems to grow. A touch of the rock salt and some of the pepper and more spice come in at the end, leaving one with a light, slightly wheaty, and rather odd taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is very light and crisp with a higher carbonation level. For the style and the low cal nature of the brew the feel is great and makes for a nice session style feel.
Overall – A very odd brew to say the least. the nose seems to dominate the flavor profile. I get a whole lot of the herbal and less lemon. An interesting brew, but not one I would go to as a session.
