I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear pale golden with white head that disappeared and left no lacing. The scent had grain and yeast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grain and late bitter saaz hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with solid clarity; very small white head that quickly fades leaving okay retention and lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of corn, crackers and fresh bread. Some floral notes. Malts are there. The flavors are very clean, crisp and refreshing. More crackers and breads. More floral notes along with some hints of citrus. Lots of fresh grass. Hints of caramel in the mix. Subtle bitterness. Low sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes clean. Mouthfeel is light-bodied with sharp active carbonation. It's spritzy, crisp, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a great Helles Lager. Once again, it's clean, crisp and refreshing. Nice flavors as well. This one is perfect for the summer time. Well done. I really like it. They did a great job with this one.

So what do I think about "Municipals" as a name for the Indians? I have been an Indians fan since I discovered baseball when I was maybe 10 or so (1967). It's been pretty hard on me, knowing the name will go away.
So this Helles is like the many brews of this style, only very immediate and fresh tasting. It doesn't feel like it came from a huge factory, it feels like a small batch helles, and that helps make it more authentic too, like it came from one of those little towns in Bavaria.
Not recommended. I don't usually recommend this style, and I would definitely not recommend the name municipals. Cleveland ROCKS! Rocks is my preference.
